The plot of Bajirao and Mastani will revolve around the real life love story of PeshwaBajirao and his second wife Mastani. Mastani was a half Muslim woman with whom Bajirao fell in love at first sight. According to folklore, Bajirao’s family never accepted Mastani and even tried hard to separate them both. It is also said that after Bajirao died in 1740, Mastani could not bear the news and suicide for her husband.
